Planning a budget wedding
Many brides and grooms are sitting at home right now thinking how they can have an affordable wedding that doesn’t look cheap and that is memorable. Wedding planning is hard enough when you have a good budget to work on; when the budget is small it can get extremely difficult. But this doesn’t mean that you need to wear a borrowed dress or go without wedding garters, fortunately. It just means that you need to be wise and choose your battles carefully.
One thing that we would advise right away is to choose a smart date for your wedding. And by this we mean a date that is off peak wedding season, outside of peak holiday season and comfortably away from any major holidays and big events in your town. Yes, this may mean that you’ll have a potentially rainy wedding or that some guests that live far away won’t make it, but it will really help your budget. You then need to make a list of what is absolutely crucial that you have at your wedding, what you can potentially do without and what you really don’t care about at all. This will give you the necessary perspective to make the tough decisions ahead.
